• Theme: The theme for the 2026–2027 program year is “What My Culture Means to Me!” 

• Categories: Students can submit original entries in six arts areas: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts. 

• Requirements: Every submission must include a unique title and an artist statement between 10 and 100 words explaining how the work fits the theme. 

• Participation: Students submit their pieces through the NCE PTA for initial judging before advancing to council, district, state, and national levels.
